Photoshop-Why seeing is not always believing
Sometimes, people try to change photo's to convince us of things. They do this by photoshop. Here are some Photoshop examples:
These are some classics. Can you find any Photoshop pictures of your own?

The Animus
The Animus are tribes of people. They can turn into a particular species of animal, talk to that species, and they are born with some traits and skills associated with their animal. The animals are species, but not subspecies. For instance:
- There is a Leopard Tribe, but not Cloud, Chinese, or Snow leopards
- There are tigers, but not Amur or Bengal Tigers

Frost Leapers- How they name
This is an inside look on how Frost Leapers name each other. If you don't know what they are, read my post Frost Leapers.
Naming
3 small wolves raced down the tunnel. One black as night, another grey as smoke, the 3 white as stars. And sure enough.... " Night! I'm waaaaay ahead of you!" Shouted the grey wolf. " You where saying, Smoke?" Asked the white wolf as she sped ahead. "I'm ahead of both of you, Star!" Said the voice of the black wolf, who was ahead of them both.
--------------------------
" Do I really need to tell you?" asked Frozenleap. " Yes!" So Frozenleap begain his story.
We name our children based on their looks. So a particularly wide-eyed wolf might be named Owl. They have one-word names to symbolize that they are alone and not part of the pack. Then, as they reach maturity and the title of Frost Jumper, they grasp two-word names. It symbolizes that they are not alone; but the last parts are different from that of a Frost Leapers. They are: Night, Flake, or Jump. So that wide-eyed wolf might become Owljump. Then, if they pass their test, the last name changes, to symbolize the turn from Frost Jumper to Frost Leaper, and to show their full allegience with the pack. The names are: Leap, Ice, and Snow. So Owljump might become Owlleap. Smoke, Smokeflake, Smokeleap. Night, Nightjump, Nightice. Star, Starnight, Starsnow.

The Meeting
The bronze dragons scales scraped against rough rocks as she settled down to become part of the circle. " This has gone to far" she hissed "Shark, you must STOP!" " But I thought you pledged yourself to the Revengie." was the chilling response, as a sapphire dragon slid around the corner. " I really did. We really did. And the punishment for betrayal to the Revengie, Chrome" he let the words settle down" Is death." Chrome jerked her tail back and fourth. With interest, some other dragons, mostly reddish-yellow, or brownish-gold, and the occasional black, leaned forward. " But I want to quit. This has gone to far!" Shark smiled grimly. " No, Chrome. You have gone to far. Good-bye." Chrome's dying scream as she fell down the cliff still echoes in some's minds.

The Jackolopes, Chapter 7, The Cure
In the night, the Jackolopes had turned back into themselves. They had also reached the bottom of the mountian, which they congratulated themselves on. The night was dark and starry, like dozens of tiny, white, flowers, which reminded Sky of a story his mother used to tell him. He told it to the others:
A long time ago, there was a star. It was so bright, all the others stars became invisible. They plotted against this star. Eventually, they killed the star. They all shone as brightly as before- they where glad. But the other star fell to earth, flaming. Where it fell, no one knew, but a wise dragon revealed it was in a great forest, surrounded by green grass. It grew into a white flower that could cure any burn. It was guarded by a white Jackolope with black horns. No one has dared to try to find it. Not yet, anyway.
" So we know what the cure is." Thought Deer. "We just need to find it."

The Jackolopes, chapter 6, time to put that star blue to use
As morning approached, the jackolopes where a sad group to behold. They talked and thought about things they could have done to save Dew, Beetle especially, until Poppy wisely said " Dew would not want us to do this. She would have wanted us to go on." This made Deer think about what Dew would have want them to do, until she came up with an idea. " Hey." She announced " We could get down the mountians faster as Snow Leopards.
A few minutes later, 4 Snow Leopards where racing down the mountians. And no one knew where they came from.

The jackolopes, chapter 5, the burial
Dew was buried under a willow, under the nearest stretch of paurie grass they could find. The star, however, was not buried with her. It was given to Beetle, who had been developing a (love) affair with Dew. The sunset fell onto Dews broken body. She was special. Unlike most Jackolopes, she had not been a solid color. Instead of the festive reds, pinks, oranges, or yellows; the calming, greens, blues, and whites; the dark blacks, greys, and browns; and all the colors in between, Dew had been a calming aqua, with white paws and small bursts of yellow all over her body. And no one, NO ONE, could match her soothing voice, and skill at cooking. After the funeral, when the jackolopes found shelter for the night in a dark, damp, cave, Beetle swore never to use the star. It was a promise he would soon break.

The Jackalopes, Chapter 4, The glass shard and the fall
As the jackalopes made their way down the slope, Dew begin to wonder about the piece of glass Jumpera had slipped into her paw. It had been a bright blue, the color of the ocean. It had been shaped like a star. The curiosity suddenly became to much for Dew to bear. She slipped a paw into her satchel and brought it out. The star glittered in the early morning light, a beautiful shape. It was so beautiful that Dew, unfortunately, Did not pay attention to her surroundings.
Dew cried out, but there was nothing her party could do to save her. But then, something happened. A badly scratched eagle flew up toward them. As it reached ground, It turned into Dew. Dew might have survieded, but it was to late. She was already dying. "I think it was the star." Dew gasped, pressing the star into Poppy's paw. "No!" Cried Beetle. But it was to late. Dew was dead.

The Jackolopes, chapter 3, A shard of glass
5 jackalopes where departing to find the white flower, and unravel the meaning of the jackolope prophecy. They where departing next morning. The searchers were: Poppy, a old but wise and stable elder; A young healer skilled in the art of seeing, Dew; A especially fast finder, Beetle; Deer, a young jackalope who was skilled in planning and archery; and last, but not least, Sky, a trap detector and disabler. The good-byes where being said. Any moment now, the Jackolopes would leave. Just before the party began their journey downward, Jumpera limped out of her tent. She slipped a shard of glass into Dew's paw and left. Dew dropped the piece of glass into her satchel. None of them wondered or even bothered to look at the shard.

The jackolopes, chapter 2, Knowledge
" We only know the riddle." Responded the phoenix. "It goes something like this:
Silver moonlight
With Green Grass
Touches the EverGreen trees
Burns can be caused by the Sun
But healed at Moonlights paper-thin touch
" It does not rhyme, but we think it means that a tall flower, surrounded by grass, in the EverGreen forest, is the cure. When it is touched to the burn, we think the burn will heal." "There is one problem, though." Piped up the elder. "As far as we can see, there is not a drawback. Every legend has a drawback. The problem is, we canNOT find the drawback in this legend. Which means the searchers will have to be prepared for everything." "Poppy, does not that remind of the old jackolope prophecy?" Mentioned the other elder, drinking down the healing, but scalding, drink.
Bounding through the grass
Bounding through the grass
of its own kind
the searcher
sees moonlight
to heal the darkest fur
an antler like the fatal burn
finds the flower in the grass.
But join it with the phoenix riddle
or the prophecy will not last.

Jackalopes- chapter 1, Recovering
The tribe was still recovering. Black burns showed on paws and legs, antlers were missing, sores throbbed red. A wildfire had raced through there home, set by the griffen lion tribe, hungry for more territory. Things had been bad. The leader was missing a leg; the deputy died; only two elders had survived the rage. The tribe knew they had no chances of surviving in their former home. So they traveled up to the top of the Song of Sky mountian, where the phoenixes nursed them until they where ready to battle the griffen lion tribe for their former territory.
The medicine tent consisted of 25 beds woven of soft plain grass; a boiling cauldron filled with a hot, red liquid that most of the patients where being fed, and a phoenix healer, along with 3 jackolope ones. "Noooooooooo!" A great moan split the air. "Its true." said the phoenix healer softly. "Jumpera will die in three days time." "No." Muttered the jackolope softly. "There is one way to save Jumpera, however." "How?" said the jackolope, leaning in.

Wings of Fire
Wings of fire is a book series about 7 dragon tribes at war. Queen Oasis of the Sandwings( I will inclose a Nightwing guide to the dragons of Pyrrhia at the next post, along with the prophecy ) was killed by a scavenger, and now her three daughters, Blister, Blaze, and Burn, are fighting over the throne. The Nightwings have made a prophecy that 5 dragonets, from different tribes, born on the brightest night, will rise up to stop the war and chose the next Sandwing queen. However, the Skywing egg was smashed and the dragon carrying it killed, so the a Talon of Peace(a underground peace movement that believes in the Prophecy and is determined to stop the war) go's out and gets a Rainwing egg as a replacement. This is a great series about dragons.
The books: The Dragonet Prophecy, narrated by Clay, the Mudwing Dragonet of Destiny. The Lost Heir, narrated by Tsunami, the Seawing Dragonet of Destiny. The Hidden Kingdom, narrated by Glory, the (mistaken) Rainwing Dragonet of Destiny, as a replacement for the smashed Skywing egg. The Dark Secret, narrated by StarFlight, the Nightwing Dragonet of Destiny. The Brightest Night, narrated by Sunny, the Sandwing Dragonet of Destiny. The Brightest Night will come out April or March 2014.
Commentery on the Rival sisters: "Blaze is about as smart as a concussed sheep, Blister is probably plotting to become the Queen of all the tribes right now, and if Burn wins, she'll probably keep the war going just for fun." - StarFlight.

The dragon statues
The Dragons On The Shelf
On a shelf in the back of the store, there where statues of dragons. Chinese dragons, big dragons, small dragons, fire dragons, sleeping dragons, thin dragons, fat dragons, strong dragons, weak dragons. Awake, bathing, eating, hunting, mating, giving birth, sitting, flying, leaping, talking, climbing, the dragons pose's were never the same as another dragons. They where made of crystal, basalt, emerald, moonstone, diamond, stone, marble, ruby, bamboo, shale, gold, silver, bronze, brick, and one, just one, was made of sapphire. It was at the very middle and prized beyond belief. each dragon had a name inscribed on its base. For at midnight, when the shop was closed, The shop transformed into a dragon heaven. A zen garden, a mountian peak, hills, forests, and lots of prey, this heaven changing seasons each night. No dragons where ever bought or sold, for each night, the shop owners daughter asked a dragon if she could transform into it for the night. The dragons always said yes, and so each night, in a different dragon body, the shop owners daughter, Laupin, wandered around, and was content.

Frost leapers
The wolf inched closer to the hawk. As it was pure white, with a tint of gray on its snout, it was not noticed and nearly invisible. Suddenly the wolf leapt out of cover. The hawk noticed the movement and took flight. The wolf leaped upward. A path of ice followed his feet, except that it disappeared a few seconds after touching his feet. He was a frost jumper, a wolf with supernatural powers over ice. This was his test. If he passed, he would become a frost leaper( the same thing, except with more control and more honor). If he failed, He would become a normal wolf. The stakes where impossibly high. A quick paw darted out. A high shriek pierced the air. Ice began to creep out of the wolfs paw. It froze the hawk, trapping its wings. The hawk fell to earth securely closed in the wolfs-Frozenflake was his name-jaws. "Good catch." Another, identical wolf padded up to Frozenflake. "Did I pass?" demanded Frozenflake. "Thats up to the elders to decide." Replied the other wolf, Snowleap. They slowly walked up a ridge into the camp- a huge network of underground tunnels. The wolves padded on until they reached three wolves sitting on a high ridge. "How did Frozenflake do?" one asked. Snowleap got right to the point. "He used his given powers in a way only a true Frost leaper would, covering the hawk in a sheet of ice once he touched it. He remained well hidden. He leaps high. But that was the only prey he could catch. The rest Frozenflake scared away. And he is not always well behaved." The three elders began to murmur. Finally, one stood up. "Frozenflake, go outside." He directed. Frozenflakes heart leaped. They only directed wolves to go outside if they where to become Frost Leapers!
The wind ruffled Frozenflakes fur. The elders finally finished their chant. "From now on you will be known as Frozenleap."Frozenleaps heart soared. He was finally a Frost Leaper!

I said this blog would be about stories. And here I am, fulfilling my promise. I am a very bad storyteller, so don't be disappointed if you don't like this story. But I am going to tell you one anyway. So here it is.
The Ruins of the Jungle
Deep in the Amazon, intertwined with the river, near the home of the bats, lies the Ruins of the home of the mystical race of the Jagur (pronounced Jay-gur). They were beings that had the arms, heads, tails, and could transform into jaguars. But one day........ true jaguars came. Well, not completely true jaguars. They had wings, and there strength could not be matched. The Jagurs quickly fell. But the imprint they had left on there home never faded. And that is where our story starts.
This part of the jungle where the Jagurs used to reside became known as the " Land sinkhole". 18 years after this nickname was established, a team of 6 explorers came. They had been sent to explore the land sinkhole and discover its secrets. Now, the world no longer believed in magic. Just a little reminder that will come important later. The team leader, Laura, established a few rules before they went. "First rule: Stay together." she announced."We might send someone to scout ahead, but the majority of the time we will be staying together. Second rule: don't waste supplies. And third rule: Always obey me." Then the doomed team plodded into the jungle.
As soon as they reached the home of the Jagurs, strange things started to happen. The team uncovered ruins of villages that seemed like home. There was a rule never to separate, as you know, but one man did. He ventured, alone, into the cave of the bats. They found him, feverish. He was moaning. As time went by, this man began to recover. But his skin took on a yellowish taint, his eyes becoming catlike slits, and his body grew spots. Soon, he became a Jagur. The same thing happened to everyone else on the team. This is the imprint the Jagurs left on there home. The Jagurs were once dead. Now they became alive again.
